Elevation Through Sound

09.02.15

Ale plays the obscure gems your ears have always craved but never come across. “Elevation through Sound” provides lucky listeners with a journey through the full sound spectrum. He’s also well known as the creative light behind the band LanguisPsychic Powers and Pharaohs and you’re sure to hear occasional rarities and sneak peeks from those projects.

This week featured a very, very, special guest:

Native Angeleno, producer, emcee (formerly known as Subtitle) and all around crevvy dude GIOVANNI MARKS is releasing a new ten-track instrumental EP through the killers at HIT+RUN entitled “Double Tech Jeep Music” [HNR46]. Recorded over the fall/winter 2014 season, the record serves as a semi-formal introduction to the “crev-wave” sub-genre of music that Giovanni has been cooking up over the last few years, as well as a soundtrack to the various escapades one would encounter while walking the roads and streets of their own area code. Rounded out by an appearance from the enigmatic COTO, (bass on “Put Name Here”) this is definitely a indication that the crevolution just might be televised.

The album will be available for digital download and pressed on limited-edition purple cassette tapes plus this limited run of 10″ marbled-purple vinyl is housed in a silkscreened jacket by HIT+RUN (limited to 400 copies).

**Vinyl release date is September 1st.

All songs Programmed, Played, Produced, Mixed by Giovanni Marks for Get Crev Labs. Published by Western Strike (ASCAP).
Recorded and Mixed at GCL & The Scum Dungeon on a bunch of stuff listed elsewhere.
Coto played Bass on ‘Put Name Here’.
