(in plain sight) radio

06.04.25

(in plain sight) radio is a platform for the growing community of Beatmakers, artists, DJ’s and creatives in New York, New Jersey and beyond!

With the wide range of influences shared by our residents and access to the constantly evolving sound of electronic music both on the east coast, every first Thursday, we’re bringing you two hours of straight heat and fire beats. Additionally, our mission is to highlight the creative process of the artists we know and love, so you can know and love them too. So tune in, show up, tap in, do whatever you gotta do, but make sure you’re here with us, in plain sight.

This month we’ve got a very special and very rare two hour mix from our Queen of Questions, ANNY WARHOL. As you can see from her tracklist she went deep into her crates, spinning edits, music from the community here in NYC, mash ups and took us through multiple genres for the whole set. Make sure you keeped it locked in for the entire show because she’s dropping some serious heat off the USB.

We want to take a moment to hold space for YUME SOUL, one of the most dedicated and driven members of our community here in NYC. He battled health issues for the last few years and unfortunately transitioned last week. YUME played one of his earliest beat sets with us during the early days of our Beat Show residency in Bushwick back in 2018, and went on to rock our stage for the last block party event we threw before the pandemic. He was a pivotal member of the NYC Beat Community, launching Brooklyn Beat Syndicate and Supply Chain, both serving as a platform for local beatmakers to showcase their beats to new crowds and worked with young aspiring producers via Today’s Future Sound. His energy and love for this music and the culture that surrounds it will be missed by many of us in the city and even across the world. If you’re in NYC on June 6th at 6PM there will be a Memorial Beat Cypher held for him in Union Square Park, pull up and share stories and sounds with the community he held close to his heart.
