Artist and musician Byron Westbrook returns to dublab for a guest DJ set of avant-garde instrumental music ranging from minimalism to maximalism, featuring electro-acoustic works, field recordings and crossover territory with contemporary art.
Byron Westbrook makes sculptural, immersive electronic compositions within an expansive practice that includes both live performance and installations. His work has been shown at the Walker Art Center, ICA London, MOCA Los Angeles, MoMA PS1, MaerzMusik, Rewire, and Akousma Festivals among others. He has released recordings with Important Records, Ash International/Touch, Hands in the Dark, Umor Rex, and Root Strata.
