For over a decade, Million Brazilians have continued to exemplify their imagination into new sound works that “drift between boundless compositions, focused energetic improvisations and experimental collaboration that embrace a weird sort of transcendence.”

In support of their recent release on Feeding Tube Records, the original trio of Jones, Stone & Corum have reunited for the first time in 8 years to perform along the west coast presenting a “dreamy jazzoid” composition entitled ‘Urban Fossickated Octave’. “The album takes its title from the work of the late visionary artist, Paul Laffoley, from whom the band learned many lessons, and for whom the music stands as a sort of threnody. And the sounds here seem to inhabit some of the same psychic space as Laffoley’s work — creating panels of aural architecture with mandalic balance and flow,” recently stated Byron Coley and goes on say, “Million Brazilians’ music has lots of depth and a shifting focus that makes it hard to identify as any particular brand of music,” and is described by Mississippi Records founder Eric Issacson as “Exotica avant-garde mystical music that is impossible to classify’.
