Subsonic Propagation System: Latin American Dub

06.30.24

Subsonic Propagation System is a project by David Ovando Sánchez, whose sound reason places Dub as the axis for the elaboration of multiple sound currents with synthesis and experimentation processes from the studio. One of its facets includes a tribute to the culture of the sound system and dubplate, in addition to disseminating content around these subcultures from the radio through “I Dub You”, a fun and beautiful expression coined by obeah man Lee “Scratch” Perry. SPS is currently working on its debut material “PlugsFromCPU”

For this show we focus on latin america dub, with artists like Dengue Dengue Dengue, Cerrero, Apoff in Dub or Joaquin Cornejo and his propuse from classic style of dub mix with traditional sounds from Ecuador. This show, like any other by SPS, included classics with artists like Manu Chao, this is a beautiful manifesto into the mix, with a sense of revival.
