This month’s show comes with a guest mix from a dear friend from wayyyyy back… Nina Ratsaphong ! (aka Extra Silky). We became friends when we were in our early 20’s and partying at the infamous Mercat Basement (RIP) in Melbourne and have remained homies to this day! A couple of years ago Nina showed me this mix she made and it blew me away because it was full of wild EBM, industrial new beat stuff that I loved and I had no idea Nina was even into that vibe. Nina isn’t a DJ by the way, she’s infamous for making everyone’s hair look great in Sydney at her iconic Extra Silky salon. I think it’s more fun for me personally in this current climate to bring people onto the show who aren’t “djs” because we’re not in short supply of those (lol) so i’m planning on doing it more. Also Nina somehow managed to make a mix that suits the Hardcore Positive name more than anyone else so far, what a legend!
