MORE ABOUT DAVID EDREN:

Antwerp composer/musician David Edren is the man behind DSR Lines, is part of Het Interstedelijk Harmoniumverbond and runs the Hare Akedod label with Bent Von Bent, with whom he most recently started the project Spirit & Form. His work has been released by labels like JJ Funhouse, Ekster, Ultra Eczema, and Ghent’s cassette label Social Harmony amongst others.

Music for Mimosa Pudica & Codariocalyx a conceptual work by David Edren, first saw the light of day in 2015. This commissioned album accompanied Earth.Rope.Pot Plant’s newly published book. Social Harmony released his evenly conceptual Electronic Gamelan Music in 2017 as a cassette only release. In 2018 Edren teamed up with London Dilruba player Jatinder Singh Durhailay to record the album Tea Notes, which was released on 12″ vinyl by the label Ekster in 2019.

Edren is a master in creating magnificent melodies in which, aside from Eastern and Indian music, he is regularly inspired by fauna and flora, botanical gardens, tea, … Spirit & Form, released in 2020 by Antwerp label JJ Funhouse, is yet another new highlight in the career of this unique artist whose work, without exception, always radiates a unique beauty.
