The Divine Chord Gospel Show
12.22.21

A series of monthly radio shows hosted by Greg Belson on dublab.com, dedicated to gospel soul, funk and spirituals from the 1960s thru to the 1980s. The Divine Chord Gospel Show branches out into gospel influenced cuts and artists that crossed over to performing secular cuts too; so plenty of rarities all played from original vinyl, either on 45 or LP format.
We’re closing out 2021 not just as the end of a year, but as a celebration of being 10 years on the air at our home, the awesome dublab.com.
The broadcast was borne in 2011, playing a heavy artillery set of Gospel Funk & Soul 45’s that had been finding there way into the playbox of host DJ Greg Belson. Props to Mark ‘Frosty’ McNeill for having the vision to host such a specialist show!
Ten years on, and the word has been spreading globally, including a worldwide reach via dublab’s platforms, a clutch of compilation’s released on Cultures of Soul, Luaka Bop & Honest John’s, and international DJ bookings to bring that ‘Divine Disco” sound to a town near you.
It’s a celebration of the first show that aired way back when, bookended with a slew of recent discoveries.
We wave goodbye to our Wednesday slot, only to move to our new and improved set time….the 4th Saturday of the month, 10am US PST (6pm UK GMT)…..check press for details.
Happy New Year and see you in 2022!
