A tale of wicked revenge and hallowed end for you, dearie.
Whenever reading the holiday classic “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” by E.T.A. Hoffmann with my little mouse, she’s always been particularly drawn to the story of Princess Perlipat and the infamous Madam (Lady) Mouserinks’ tremendous curse. This experimental story hour pits snippets of Sandra Cullum’s lovely narration with peculiar grooves and space-tastic dub. A royal culinary nightmare; a rogue queen mouse hell-bent on retribution; and the birth of an ear-to-ear dark horse awaits.
With open eyes and holiday cheer. Much appreciation to the provocative and invaluable cultures dublab and LibriVox continue to foster.
