Mad Kate is a Berlin-based composer and performer solo or as part of HYENAZ or Mad Kate | The Tide, and a community organiser. On the occasion of the 2025 queer composer microgrant scheme by digital instrument creator Orchestral Tools, and as grantee, they prepared a short hour of ambient and electronic compositions, shedding light on other other grantees: Cairo-Berlin experimental pop artist Juno, LA-based ambient, drone, and post-classical composers Kingboy (aka Daniel Crook) and Luka Fisher, and electronic music & tech explorer Portrait XO.
