Dividing his time between Paris, Palma and most recently Mexico, Gabriel Rock (MORDISKO) is an autonomous, fiercely independent and non-conformist artist and music producer who’s become a bit of an enigma over the past decade. Under the guise of numerous aliases, such as Doussou and System Error, with his solo compositions he has captured the attention of many discerning ears, including the late, great Andrew Weatherall.

It’s a sound that stretches far and wide – from cold electronics to warm and wonky kalimba. Scratch the surface and you might think it’s hard to pin down, but more astute listens reveal an indisputable, singular style. As a DJ, Gabriel’s taste is just as expansive, arguably mirroring his nomadic and renegade lifestyle. He refuses to play the game – two fingers up to the establishment with one hand but palm open on the other, ready to grab hold of anyone wanting to embark on a unique journey of non-partisan, sonic discovery.
