For Episode 6 we sat down with Dakota Higgins and Michael Gross of the Departure from Music Venues (DMV). The DMV is a DIY ran by Michael and Dakota ran out of a collective space in south central Los Angeles; They step away from what is expected a traditional music venues by offering free shows and setting the landscape for an experimental site. In this episode we discuss how the new diy space came to be, the importance of free shows, and the emotions that come with running communal spaces.
