Let’s Be Friends celebrates the people who shape the dance music community. Each month, Pretty Gay Friendly brings a mix of music and conversation, highlighting DJs, promoters, and organizers who create spaces for connection and belonging.

The show focuses on sharing stories, building friendships, and recognising the people who make the dancefloor feel like home. Guided by the same warmth and floor-driven sensibility that defines his DJ sets, the aim is to foster inclusion, connection, and the joy of bringing people together.

This month on Let’s Be Friends, I’m joined by Boy Untitled, an artist and DJ whose work is deeply rooted in self-discovery, connection, and community.

Whether through his original music or behind the decks, he creates spaces that invite people to feel present, expressive, and fully themselves. I’m excited to spend some time talking about the experiences, places, and relationships that continue to shape his sound and perspective.

Boy Untitled is a recording artist and DJ based in Los Angeles. Recognized as an “artist to watch,” he has been praised for creating music that is “lush, mesmerizing, and profound” by outlets including Billboard, Earmilk, Gay Times, Nylon, and OUT! Magazine. As a DJ, he is known for his ability to create thoughtful spaces where everyone can feel sexy in their bodies. Slinky, bouncy, vibey, and cool — his sound is rooted in house and garage with nods to trance and techno, and has moved dance floors globally at parties like [sic] (CDMX), Feel It (London), Rhonda (LA/SF), and Electroluxx (SF).

Shaped by his early years exploring the global party scene, Boy Untitled tapped into nightlife in cities like London, Berlin, and New York as a means of discovering his sexuality and queerness. That search for identity and community deepened following several major life events and a move to Mexico City from 2022 to 2024 — where he first learned to DJ alongside BOY2K music partner Boy Apocalypse. His time in CDMX continues to be a major influence on his sound and perspective as a DJ. Together, his music — original and programmed — centers on themes of self-love, community, and radical self-expression. Whatever the setting, Boy Untitled taps into a raw human experience that has found audiences around the world.
