Let’s Be Friends celebrates the people who shape the dance music community. Each month, Pretty Gay Friendly brings a mix of music and conversation, highlighting DJs, promoters, and organizers who create spaces for connection and belonging.
The show focuses on sharing stories, building friendships, and recognising the people who make the dancefloor feel like home. Guided by the same warmth and floor-driven sensibility that defines his DJ sets, the aim is to foster inclusion, connection, and the joy of bringing people together.
For this month’s episode of Let’s Be Friends, I’m joined by margot2themax, a DJ whose sets are full of personality, heart, and pure joy. Her love for vinyl, diva energy, and connection to queer and femme sounds make her a perfect guest for this show.
margot2themax is a vinyl-forward, diva-driven DJ based in East LA. Her selections are cute, campy and uplifting, rooted in queer and femme sounds that connect her to her trans sisters and mothers whom helped shape dance music. Love, empowerment, jubilation, titillation, it’s all there, baby!
