FLUID is a platform hosted by Sevyn that uplifts black trans, masculine presenting, and gender nonconforming artists. This show will take you on a journey into the sounds of local and international open format djs, producers, and recording artists. The spectrum of genres featured includes house, club, techno, ballroom, vogue, jersey club, r&b, jungle, UK garage and more. FLUID aims to highlight and blend sonic syncretism, fluidity, and genre irreverence in every episode.
LE CHEF (AKA ELIJAH NDOUMBE) is a selector that mixes to move – fromfunk, disco, and RnB, to jazzy riffs, classic house sounds, Detroit techno, andbeyond, LE CHEF is focused on creating frequencies of rhythm for release.They’ve played at SoHo Haus in Berlin, NoSe Dance Party (Oakland), WaitingRoom (Cape Town), The Grand Africa, and Roots & Fruits (CPT); opened forartists such as Dope Saint Jude (Boiler Room) and Abdu Ali (Stanford), andhave featured on the BBZ London radio show, Fritto FM (Milan, IT),Superbalist Monday Mixtape, Whisperscream Radio, A11 Radio livestream(South Africa), and Ola Radio (Marseille, FR).
In between mixing live (recently Paris, FR & Malta), Ndoumbe can be foundcooking in Marseille wine bars, deepening familial food research in Douala,and building transatlantic collaborations via their lens-based arts practice(s).They are currently in development on a project with artists between France,Senegal, and the US.
