45 Live Radio Show
08.19.22

Hosted Team member Greg Belson, a highly respected, LA-based DJ on the rare soul/funk scene, hosts the monthly dublab show 45 Live. It’s about the love of music, the love of vinyl and having an excellent old time of it. Whatever you do, keep it 45.
45 Live is a collective of DJs from across Europe and the USA who have come together to indulge in and celebrate their love of the mighty 45rpm 7″ single. Hailing from all corners of popular and niche music scenes, the love of the 45 is what drew them all together. Created by UK based DJs Boca 45 and Pete Isaac, 45 Live is fast growing into a record label, festival circuit and events brand, and regular club night session.
It’s always an absolute pleasure to welcome into the studio a bonafide legend in the beat making fraternity, and to invite him to take us on a journey around his record crates. Once again, please be upstanding for the mighty;
DJ FOOD aka STRICTLY KEV (NINJA TUNE)
His DJ style is best described as ‘Magpie Music’, adhering to Bambaataa’s original ethos of taking the best of all styles and mixing them to form something new. He leans towards Rock, Psych, Electronica, heavy beats, Hip Hop and beyond in his 45 sets, Check out his continuing series for the 45 Live Crew, reaching back to the acid, bleeps, beeps and squelches of the late 80’s rave era. All played from 7″ singles….that’s pretty awesome!
Your host Greg Belson bookends the set with his well stacked racks of quality business, and this week, it’s a schlep into the world of modern soul & discofied floorfillin’ 45’s for your entertainment.
