This week’s episode featured special guest Fatal Jamz
Fatal Jamz is the rock and roll project of Los Angeles based singer Marion Belle and analog whizkid Nicholas Allen Johns. Impossible to neatly categorize, their seductive brand of dreamy guitars and tough glamour has seen its influence spread across a wide range of genres, as attested to by the artists who have taken them on tour, including Weyes Blood, Sky Ferreira, The Smith Westerns, and collaborations with artists as diverse as Yves Tumor, Sam Mehran (Test Icicles), and Eddie Chacon. For years the group’s renown was based solely on a handful of unreleased singles that made their way, without label support, to artists themselves. These infamous tracks culminated in 2016 with the release of their debut LP Coverboy – a record which I_d dubbed “a 35mm Romeo and Juliet.” 2022 saw the group release their first 2 singles since Coverboy and a sold out West Coast tour with Tchotchke (NYC). They release their sophomore album Fatal Attraction on May 26th, 2023 with a headline show at LA’s Teragram Ballroom.
