Ale plays the obscure gems your ears have always craved but never come across. “Elevation through Sound” provides lucky listeners with a journey through the full sound spectrum. He’s also well known as the creative light behind the band Languis, Psychic Powers and Pharaohs and you’re sure to hear occasional rarities and sneak peeks from those projects.
Beijing-based guitar ‘n drums ‘n buzz duo ALPINE DECLINE stop by dublab to walk us gassed out and time sick through the PRC underground music scene. The band formed in LA in 2010, ripped three quick albums and then spirited off to China & the outskirts of the megatropolis, where they’ve continued to release albums to the steady clip of an IV drip. They’re in LA for one show only this year – Sunday July 5th at Ham ‘n Eggs with Beijing label-mates Birdstriking and LA’s kin kosmos (feat. Kurt Heasley of Lilys) and business-casual DJing by Ricky Maymi (Brian Jonestown Massacre). Tune in and zone out to the finest far out distant sounds.
