Here’s a mix of some of my old favourites, new discoveries and a few unreleased pieces. Many of the tracks feature the (not always singing, not always human) voice. Some of the pieces evoke overtly exotic locales (Newark Airport, Babylon). Others take us to highly specific yet unnamed places where memory melds with prescience. A sentimental fog emanating from the past and obscuring the future hangs over the proceedings. Almost all the songs make use of machines of one kind or another. Here they have been entrusted with excavating our deepest longings. Enjoy.
