dublab presents the Sounds of Now

The tremolo effect is a kind of musical trembling. It reminds us what an excess of feeling feels like, as if the edges of our bodies like the edges of a musical note were coming undone. What if the same effect was applied to the edges of a nation? Would borders tremble, would they disappear?

Arjuna Neuman is an artist, working with sound, image, and text. He was born on an airplane like his ancestors. Together with frequent collaborator, Sille Kima, they traverse sonic and affective landscapes held by tenderness. He is a fellow at Villa Aurora and he currently has solo exhibitions open at Kunsthalle Wien, Austria and Munch Museum, Norway.
