Azalia Snail is an avant garde singer-songwriter and musician, music video director and DJ. She is a multi-instrumentalist active in psychedelia and played a prominent role in the 1990s DIY scene, and was dubbed the “Queen of Lo-Fi.” She is one half of the duo LoveyDove with Dan West.
Snail has released 15 albums between 1990 and 2024 and has written film scores for several indie features and short films. She has toured the United States, Europe, New Zealand and Japan. In 2000, she won the LA Weekly Music Award for Best New Genre.
Lately she has been the house DJ for Dick Van Dyke events.
