The ongoing focus of Beats of All-Nations Radio is finding a common denominator through music from around the world, while continuing to feature known veterans and new artists/producers/djs alike from the cultured community. The past guest roster of Beats of All-Nations Radio show has included live studio sessions by the likes of Lealani, Buyepongo, Beat Cinema, Sumohair & Yanga as well as feature sets/interviews from respected legends like Seun Kuti, B+, Mixmaster Wolf, Danny Holloway. Though we have joined dublab several times on past shows, including a few guest feature broadcasts we have hosted, we’re excited to join the station and look forward to casting out a wider net of sounds, guests, and listeners.
Brainstory’s Kevin Martin joined us for a rare, one-off vinyl DJ set, bringing the same fearless range and deep musical roots that shape his work with Brainstory and beyond. A guitarist, songwriter, and co-founder of Brainstory, Kevin’s career spans collaborations with El Michels Affair with Black Thought, Clairo, Lady Wray, and membership in the É Arenas band. Also featured was Deladeso (aka Richie Velazquez), the multidisciplinary artist and creator of the Digital Grime aesthetic, known for blending music, art, and cultural commentary. The show opened with a Brainstory-influenced megamix by Cell Uno and closed with an eclectic new music set from DJ Gabe Real. Hosted by Mike Styles, the episode also dove into conversation around the upcoming Mucho Gusto Fest and the creative journeys of both guests.
