Ahead of their Dec. 10 Minty Boi show Wanna Dance?, Blue Hawaii returned to the dublab airwaves.

It’s a live set, so there are some mistakes but that just makes it all the more fun! We also jam out a little at the end on some dj stuff.

Blue Hawaii have been perfecting their craft for over a decade. Building upon their latest releases – 2020’s ‘Under 1 House’ and 2022’s ‘My Bestfriend’s House’, two tour-de-force EPs showcasing dance-floor euphoria alongside soaring diva vocals.

The two first met in 2008, at the heart of Montreal’s burgeoning underground loft party scene. Finding their start with a bedroom minimal electronic sound, they gradually evolved into a more live and dance forward project, placing emphasis on celebratory and visceral catharsis. The essence of their work is threaded through the confident sanguine vocals and songwriting of Raphaelle “Ra” Standell and the distinctive production of Agor “DJ Kirby” Cowan. Blue Hawaii uniquely assembles every aspect of their music together.
