The lifelong/childhood friends Pat Butler and Phil Shore blend myriad styles to create songs that emanate warmth along the full spectrum of human emotion through their duo Bottler. Both classically trained on the piano (Pat learned from his piano teacher father, who also taught Phil), the grew to have a strong foundation in music theory and practice. This fuels their unique perspective on electronic music, inspired by a broad range of artists, all connected by their liberated approach to production. It’s an unpretentious, raw, and dynamic approach that creates a kaleidoscopic collection of sounds. Hot Chip, Todd Terje, DJ Koze come to mind.
