Heather McIntosh + Butchy Fuego come together for a live dublab session of cello + mpc. Butchy is one of our favorite percussion champions in the whole wide universe and his friend Heather is an acclaimed cellist who has recently chosen to make LA her home. Heather McIntosh recently moved to Los Angeles from Athens, Georgia. House cellist for the Elephant 6 Collective, she has played with Of Montreal, The Olivia Tremor Control, The Music Tapes, Gerbils, Elf Power, Circulatory System, Apples in Stereo, Great Lakes, and The Ladybug Transistor. She has extended her talents outside of Athens performing with Linda Perhacs, Kevin Ayers of the Soft Machine, Faust, Animal Collective, Cat Power, Superchunk, M Ward, The Clientele, St. Vincent, Azure Ray, Icy Demons, Bright Eyes, Washed Out, Dr. Dog, Gnarls Barkley, and Lil’ Wayne.
Her folk/experimental band The Instruments has released three albums. Billions of Phonographs, Cast a Half Shadow, and Dark Småland are all available on Orange Twin Records.
She is also a co-founder and artistic director of AUX, an event and publication series devoted to experimental art in all forms. Based in Athens, Georgia, AUX has showcased the works of Mary Halvorson and Jessica Pavone, Faust, Korena Pang, Robert Schneider, The Black Swan Network, Michael Columbia, The Olivia Tremor Control, Pelican City, and Melted Men.
She most recently composed the score for the film Compliance, directed by Craig Zobel, which received a Sundance Cinereach Post-Production feature film grant.

Butchy Fuego is a producer, drummer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ, recording engineer and visual artist. He has played all over the world with acts such as Boredoms, M.I.A., Pit Er Pat, Nite Jewel, Linda Perhacs, Rainbow Arabia, Aska Matsumiya, Matteah Baim, Hisham Bharoocha, NA FUEGO, Zach Hill, Lucky Dragons, in addition to performing solo and in numerous improvisational settings. In the studio, he’s worked with Red Krayola, Lou Barlow, The Congos, Pit Er Pat, Abe Vigoda, Aska Matsumiya, Soft Circle, Hecuba, These Are Powers, Rainbow Arabia, and countless others.
