byebye99 is the LA-based project of Dylan Knox and Danny Rincon, rooted in the hazy intersection of ’90s shoegaze and trip-hop. Inspired by artists like Guitar (Michael Luckner) and Bowery Electric, their selections and productions can lean toward atmosphere, texture, and slow-burn rhythm—blurring the line between listening and dancing. Together, byebye99 bring in selections from their large eclectic vinyl collection that can range anything from soul music to IDM to citypop. The duo released their debut single “Back To You” in 2025 with more new material to come this year.

Danny Rincon is also active in bands Scrunchie, 2070, and Smere, and runs the LA promotion outfit Hypnotique Presents. As DJ Hypnotique, he has previously guest DJ’d on Discoteca 3ala Mars as well.
