This week, Nicole McCabe joins us for a special live performance (accompanied by Logan Kane on bass) and a conversation about her music. McCabe is a saxophonist, composer, and educator who works and lives in Los Angeles. She studied jazz at Portland State University and University of Southern California. Her recent releases include Improvisations, an album of saxophone loops released on Minaret Records, and Landscapes, her second album as a bandleader, on the Spanish label Fresh Sound. She is also part of the electro-jazz duo Dolphin Hyperspace. Recent collaborators include Genevieve Artadi, 10.4 Rog, and Jacob Mann.
