Hosted by Los Angeles-based DJ and journalist Chris Kissel, the twice-monthly dublab program Contact Wave enthusiastically celebrates the best experimental, avant-garde, psychedelic, and off-the-grid music crafted in L.A. and beyond.

This week’s edition features artist/composer Meara O’Reilly. O’Reilly’s focus is on perception and new musical interfaces. Her work has been presented at National Sawdust, Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Hall, the Bauhaus Dessau, and as part of Bjork’s world Biophilia tour. She is co-creator of the Rhythm Necklace app, a musical sequencer that uses two-dimensional geometry to create rhythm. Her EP Hockets for Two Voices is out now on Cantaloupe.
