Damon is a multi-faceted creator with a deep background in both music and skateboarding subculture spanning decades. He is most recognized for his role in co-founding DC Shoes in the early 1990s. Alongside his entrepreneurial endeavors, Damon has relentlessly pursued his love for underground music through various avenues which include performing, producing, promoting, and collecting. Upon relocating to San Francisco in 2009, he became deeply involved in the rising Post Punk + Minimal Synth scene, playing a significant role in helping to shape the city’s music subculture by co-creating its renowned underground club nights, Warm Leatherette and Surface Tension. In 2010, he collaborated with Luis Vasquez to transform The Soft Moon from an apartment project into a live-touring band, applying his skills behind the drum machine, synths, and sequencer rig. Damon’s unrelenting curiosity for music drives him to continually explore, keeping him in a perpetual state of discovery and sharing.
