Backwards Looking Forwards is a monthly radio program dedicated to exploring the interconnected histories of global dance music. Host Danny Goliger selects tunes that showcase the futuristic sounds of today, and provides context by examining their roots in musical traditions stretching back into the past. Listeners are invited on a journey of discovery that will include the freshest new releases, and builds links to the undiscovered gems of yesteryear. Expect to hear music that ranges from modern rave stylings like house, techno, electro, jungle, and juke, and traces the roots back to funk, soul, dub reggae, new wave, synth pop, EBM, and early electronica.

Pilo is the main musical output of Los Angeles based producer, composer and sound designer, Cameron Ward. During the past decade Pilo has established himself as an in demand producer throughout the electronic music scene with releases in labels such as Boysnoize Records, Turbo Recordings and recently his own imprint Motor Reflex which has become a home to his music. The past few years have seen Pilo reorientate himself and follow an introspective journey that has led him through a creative metamorphosis in search of a greater spiritual connection, a stronger community of artists and an emphasis on his own imprint Motor Reflex.
In the works at the moment, a Solo Album, collaborations with Dean Grenier/Baseck/Unklevon, & a slew of solo EPs that will all be released through Motor Reflex. In tandem, he is working on a debut EP for DEEVIOUS, a new LA-based artist that shined on his and Boys Noize’s ‘’PVSSY’’ single and working on an EP with Miami’s own Danny Daze. A Live set is in the works as well that will be toured next year.
