Rare Air
11.09.25

Rare Air is a product of its time and space, not adhering to any specific genre but rather whatever the wind blows into DJ Lady C’s consciousness. The program, whose tracklists are largely populated by extra-crispy vinyl records, is a mixed bag made possible by the human experience of living in 21st century LA county (which is to say, imbued with the noisy passion, succulent secrets, and ever-evolving mythologies of our future-roots lives).
On Monday, October 27, Sven Wunder (aka Swedish composer Joel Danell) took time away from touring with Freddie Gibbs and the Alchemist to visit the dublab studios and sit down for a conversation with Lady C on the Rare Airwaves. Their conversation traversed a universe almost as wide-reaching as his beautiful repertoire. Sven Wunder’s most recent release, Daybreak, is now available on wax from Piano Piano Records.
