CENTRIFUGUES
03.08.24

Dive into a multi-layered experimental realm with Centrifugues.
DJ The Witching Hours creates an exclusive vinyl and tape collage set, using multiple media forms as layers and then processed through analog effects and mixing. A combination of the centrifugal forces of vinyl with the overlapping melodies of a fugue create rippling new textures and sonic sensations from all over space and time.
Centrifugues returns this month with a winter ambient playlist inspired by a 3-week trip to Japan this past January. Marina played two ambient shows while there and met some of the thriving ambient community, who are the most welcoming and open to new sounds and ideas from around the world. Returning ever inspired to write more, this month’s show is an homage to Japan’s strong cultural love towards ambient and experimental music. This mix entirely features ambient music from Japanese artist across time, though primarily focusing on contemporaries. Please enjoy this mix.
