This recording was gifted to me by my friend Sonya, who said this about the project:

The female singer (Juana Saludado) was my friend and Mexican folk dance teacher. She and her father were folk singers, migrant farm workers, and and activists. She passed on about 2 years ago and my partner Roy helped me transfer the vinyl record to cds to give to her family. She was such a wonderful person. My mom and I went to see her when she was on her deathbed, and the two of them were telling stories about being farm workers in the 1940s-1960s, and I thought it was sooo telling of her spirit that she was talking less about her plight, and so much about the nearby Japanese farmers that were taken from their farms and sent to Manzanar.
