Los Angeles-based artist Will Wiesenfeld has built a small musical universe for himself over the past 16 years, most notably as Baths. Geotic is his longest running project that began as bedroom guitar experiments in 2008 and has continued through his entire career. Geotic is, by design, a less rigorous companion to Wiesenfeld’s music as Baths; akin to a locket worn every day beneath layers of clothing, a complimentary keepsake. There’s an ease that comes with the conception, production, and release of Geotic material that very deliberately sets itself apart from his other work.
