ctrlzora is a music curator, singer, activist, and black queer event collective HourNine cofounder and DJ coming out of the DIY scene of Chicago and aimed at contributing to keeping the electronica dance scene alive through house and techno, funk, world music and more. Paying homage to the history and liberating rhythms of music within communities of color across genres is their central focus, alongside perpetuating the tradition of house music in its originator, Chicago, in black and queer culture. Zora intentionally infuses their own spiritual associations with music to create an energy that can bring somatic healing not only to them but to their listeners as well. Zora has frequently played the Post Chicago, as well as debuted at The School of the Art Institute Chicago, Cerise Rooftop, Blind Barber, and Podlasie Club, and more, along with being featured on Beloved Radio. Quick to reach from the archives alongside blending with its modern reiterations, Zora shares their open love letters to music and mutual sonic communion with every crowd.

Black Audio Society is a collective effort lead by Gum.mp3 for the conservation and enjoyment of black music. The aim is to identify sociopolitical context, analyze the development and mixture of genres over time, and imagine the future of black music in both theory and practice. Through guest mixes and periodic deep dives into the history of this music, B.A.S. serves as an alternative destination for black music discovery and appreciation.
