Emails/¿Tienes Valium?
“Emails” was written when Estefanía noticed that hatt was answering emails in a club in Ensenada, Mexico. The gang was at Mamabear’s place and after spending the night dancing in town.
“¿Tienes Valium?” was written shortly after that song. The group recorded multiple sound bites using iphones and then edited them together in ableton. Brennan had a headache so he bought some valium from doctor simi (see pictured below). Estefanía and hatt helped to sooth Brennan by moaning loudly into the melodica. They made several attempts and eventually woo’d Brennan into a deep slumber that would only be awakened after loudly playing Jim E Brown on a speaker 3 inches from Brennan’s ear at 4a. 3lilbz (ST)
First Self-titled album from the group. Most of the songs were recorded using instruments from hatt’s arsenal including the only digital synthesizer from m-audio (Venom), electric bass, electron rhytm as well as the korg SV-1. We also recorded our voices using our iPhones and placed them into the ableton tracks. Below is a photo from the jam sesh. Brennan showed up after we had recorded all of the songs. Maybe he is eating Panda Express from the test kitchen in Pasadena. A lot of these songs were to idolize our inspirations of the moment. Other lilbz of the world.

lil b unit (instrumental=)
Samples recorded using our iphones over live instruments. Samples came from the movie Ghost World (quote is “John Ellis: Oh my God, didn’t they tell you? Enid: Tell me what? John Ellis: Punk rock is over. Enid: I know it’s over, asshole, I’m not even… John Ellis: You really want to fuck up the system? Go to business school. That’s what I’m going to do. Get a job in some big corporation and, like, fuck things up from the inside.). The group used the duplicate shortcut in ableton to make this track but also adjusted the length of each duplicated sample creating a sort of meandering effect. What you say is, what you are doing, could have been of someone else’s. Sample at the end is from Annett who had just been kicked out of a club for having a knife in her possion and she stated “ I can not hurt anyone with that”. The group made this track after the first jam session because after Brennan showed up they watched Ghost World and hatt fell asleep pretty quickly after the movie started.

A LOVE SONG FOR JIM E BROWN
Little did we know that in around a year after we wrote this song we would be opening up for sir Jim E Brown at our first live rehearsal. This song is for our obsession with another lilb – jimE B.

A love song for someone who truly missed out on an incredible dance. Too bad, Estefanía is the most special of birds.

Estefanía is for BBBrotherhood, not motherhood. This song clears that up.

We wanted brennan to come and be our friend but it was really hard because sometimes brennan is lost in the world. But we found him eventually when he came. He always comes when he needs to be there.
look book (an ode to david lindert’s instagram account)
David Lindert (pronounced Davide) is a Czech artist, who is currently living in Memmingen, Germany (2025), who mostly focuses between mediums photography/poetry but is truly an interdisciplinary artist that bends past lines of perception. David was posting a series of landscape photos on instagram for a while, titling them “Look 1”, “Look 2” and so on and so on. You could be listening to this music when you are looking at these photos.

Dedicated to the artist Patrick Staight who came into our orbit via an ad on youtube where Patrick was inquiring for someone to help him find a job. We then (naturally) inquired more about this man via the internet and found his website, youtube page, and instagram account. I think at one point he had a profile picture or a photo somewhere of him wearing a shirt that said “this is what a feminist looks like” and that’s where we got the title of this song.
Volcano Man
I’m a butterfly who wants to sip your turtle tears. Live recording from a night out at a club then edited using the aforementioned duplication method. The “wind sounds” are via Brennan’s singing trash can video (pictured above). That was all of our trash from when we visited Mamabear’s place in mexico. Estefanía took a video of Brennan holding the trash bag out the window (we were taking it down to the dumpster) because the bag was “singing”.



3lilbz 1st live rehearsal
On February 1st, 2024 we brought together a group of bees in order to perform a seance for Brennan creating a shrine in his name. We asked for people to bring an offering for brennan. The Group comprised Estefanía, Emily Lucid, Desert Mambas, theyfriend, Averie Rivera, Beau Mathews, Jack Correll, and lilb himself. Emily Lucid also made costumes for everyone. There were more performers than audience members. We set ourselves up in a circle around the stage for the most part. The audio person showed up after we were basically set up and shut off all the sound from the board that we had everyone plugged into but luckily we had everything recorded from the board. The performers (unless they were plugged into their own amp) could not hear themselves. The night before Estefanía, Madeleine Sturma and hatt went on a randonaut to find objects for the shrine and met a welder who welded together an offering (pictured below). After the group performed, Jim E Brown played a live set.

vidja gamne – curbee absorbs the bay area
The group went on to create a concept album this time assembling themselves as theyfriend, Estefania and hatt. The album is background music for a vampire video game. Also the game features appearances from shaggy and scooby doo. And the premise of the game is Kirby absorbs the entire bay area (SF).

My movie 2
So we wrote this song, hatt and Ashla – who who works at LAX, wrote this song listening to Ruben Molina play some music and we used to Chat GTP to watch and write the song and we also got a chord progression which I’m gonna get and beat rhythm so I’m not in the bathroom right now.

Estefanía recorded the vocals over Sam Liebich playing a guitar in open tuning but he had no idea that it was in open tuning and I (hatt) made him finish it before we went to get ice cream. Sam realizes half way through the song that it was written by Chat and that the guitar was in open tuning.

Ketamine Song
hatt wrote this song’s lyrics while being administered ketamine at a clinic which is/was part-run by legendary guitarist Matt Baldwin. I would highly recommend that you look into the work of Matt and check out his substack page. He is an incredible writer and I would implore you to look into his how to play guitar zine books. Those books changed my life (hatt). Madeleine and hatt were watching over a friend’s place in the town of San Gabriel. hatt gave Estefania the lyrics and then sat down at the piano and they played this song without any previous practice.
