L.A. DJ/producer/beat maker Jamma D has been a figure in the west coast funk and dance music scene, both as an accomplished DJ and music producer, having released records under his own name and producing for the likes of Steve Arrington (Slave), Joyce Wrice, Mndsgn, and more. From a musical upbringing, Jamma’s adolescent obsession with record digging and beat making led him to Dam-Funk’s world-renown Funkmosphere parties early on, where he built relationships with key players in the LA funk scene and began to make a name for himself as a DJ and producer. In the second half of the 2010’s he released a series of EPs on New York label Arcane and hosted the legendary Soul In Paradise show on NTS radio from 2016-2020. In 2023, he released his debut full-length LP ‘Perceptions’ on Onra’s NBN Records re-imagining hip-hop, funk, R&B, and house through a distinctly California lens.
