Every episode, a different artist will share the songs they love and the things or people that have inspired them to play, make, and share music. That One Time is an open format show that gives listeners a chance to get to know these artists on a deeper level, learning the personal stories on what music they first fell in love with and how they got to where they are now. Kosmik is the Head Spirit and founding member of The Black Lodge family in LA, schooled in the earlv 90’s punk and electronic/rave scene in Ohio, somewhere between Detroit and Chicago. From the years 1999-2001 he co-founded the infamous Foundation Team and weekly Trü Skül underground event series in NYC alongside partners Kimyon and Rich B, focused on bringing out Midwest luminaries to the metropolis (some for their first time) including Robert Hood, Theo Parrish, Claude Young, Traxx, Gemini, Boo Williams, DBX, Todd Sines, Suburban Knight etc. etc. In 2014 he moved to the City of Angels and began The Black Lodge in the notorious, dank, and dark Hyperion Tavern, keeping a focusing on the stranger sounds of the underground while maintaining strong ties with his midwest roots. The Black Lodge has since grown and expanded its mission and directives into a record label and global conspiracy with members of pure heart from all over the world dedicated to musical truth and expression as an antidote to the status quo spoon fed by the false prophets of the mainstream.
