In anticipation of their return to Los Angeles this week – Wednesday February 25 at ZZK Sessions at Zizou and Saturday February 28 at La Noche Cumbiera in Ojai – Karen y Los Remedios created a dancefloor cumbia mix exclusively for dublab.
The Mexican band known for their unique blend of cumbia and downtempo music, is fronted by Ana Karen Barajas, who is both a singer-songwriter, along with Jiony, a producer based in Mexico City, and guitarist Guillermo Berbeyer. Together, they create a distinctive sound that incorporates elements of cumbia, trip-hop, and subtle electronic details.
