People’s Portal is a monthly segment hosted by Josephine Shetty, aka Kohinoorgasm, exclusively presenting the music of experimental, unsigned, non-commercial, underground/DIY, and working class musicians. This month’s segment features local pop artist SEHSEIYAH!

SEHSEIYAH is an LA-based musician who blends industrial stylings with enigmatic pop experimentations to narrate her ethereal inner worlds. She grew up with traditional Iranian folk music, which has influenced her sonic architecture. Her music derives from cinematic affection, and her poetic lyrics draw from the eyes of an angel as she ascends towards catharsis— a space where heartbreak, horror, and heaven collide.
