The release will be sold digitally on bandcamp.com and iTunes.

KUMOKO was born in the clouds over the sky of Hawai’i on January 17, 2011.
KUMOKO is a spirit child and artist of the sky, and spontaneously creates art using clouds, and paints the sky in vibrant colors.
25 artists from the US, Japan, and Europe ranging from electronic, folk, classical, R&B, and pops created songs inspired by KUMOKO , and each song is a sonic interpretation of the character.
Just as the sky connects all parts of the world, music brings all the genre and boundary hopping musicians together on this compilation.

From Los Angeles, artists such as Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Carlos Niño, Dexter Story, Gaby Hernandez, Dntel, Mia Doi Todd & Jesse Peterson (The Magic Wanderers), The Long Lost (Daedelus & Laura Darlington), expressed the ethereal side of the character. From Brooklyn, artists such as Soft Circle (Hisham Bharoocha), and Oval from Berlin made unique contributions, and pop stars such as ACO and Chocolat & Akito, Yoshimio from Boredoms and OOIOO, producers such as AZZURRO, Inner Science, and Natural Calamity, as well as leading R&B producer Shinichiro Murayama from Japan expressed the character in their own unique ways. The compilation was mastered by producer/engineer AZZURRO in Tokyo.

Listening to the album is like being taken on a journey into a mystical animation film that does not exist yet, and will take the listener into unexplored realms.

The proceeds from the music compilation will be donated to efforts in Nepal by International Disaster Volunteers (http://www.idvolunteers.org/) using the www.globalgiving.org website to give the gift of education to kids who suffered from the earthquake that struck the country in April/May 2015.
