The Mobile Town Hall series, a project led by Renée Reizman, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation’s Creative Catalyst, brings the government to you. Using a LADOT DASH bus, the Creative Catalyst wheels discussions about current events, politics, and transportation infrastructure into underserved communities, hoping to foster new connections with our friends and neighbors, bolster partnerships with local organizations, and help our constituents become aware of the many services our public agencies provide to the public.
July 10th’s conversation, “How to Make Public Comment,” shares the importance of participating in local government. LADOT’s Kevin Ocubillo will walk you through the public comment process, and the Koreatown Youth & Community Center’s Steve Kang and Gennesis Jerez share how civic engagement has directly impacted their community. Many thanks to our partners, the Koreatown Youth & Community Center, and the Department of Cultural Affairs.
