HOUR ONE: Langosta
For the first hour of our show, tune into a micro showcase featuring music from the contemporary electronic scenes of South America, with sounds from Peru, Argentina, and Uruguay. You’ll hear electronic beats deconstructed, distilled, and brought back to life through the singular visions of artists shaped by the political, spiritual, and emotional landscapes of the modern Andes.

We go deeper into the scene with an interview with DJ, electronic musician, and film composer Selvagia. Based in Lima, Selvagia has been a major force in the electronic music world, crafting high-energy textures that scramble memory with innovation. Formerly co-director of Lara Peru, a collective and platform that brings together electronic musicians from across Latin America in Lima, Selvagia and I discuss how the elements of his music intersect with regional aesthetics personal sensibilities, and resonate/interplay with a wider Latin American sonic landscape.
