Indoor Cats is community-engaged isolation through sound, hosted by Laura Shumate. An immersion of weaving timbres and gates as our bodies make sense of what we’re hearing when we listen to sound on our own – even though on our own we might miss connecting with other people. Enter radio! Here we have the opportunity to enjoy both the pleasure of absorbing sound in solitude, while simultaneously connecting with others along a current of shared and unseen broadcast waveforms. This is the hope of Indoor Cats. Expect abstract electronics and mellifluous abstracts, sound synthesis of any mode and the guitars that love them. Four on the floor as needed. Pop life. All intended to get down with you in unseen worlds. Moments at a time that may fuck up your cats.
