Quality Electronics, aka “The DJ Store,” has been located in West Hollywood since 1984. Initially recognized for reliable turntable repairs, international voltage conversions, and carrying leading DJ gear, the store has faced a decline into e-waste land over the years. Piles of DVD players, bootlegs, flip phones, iPad stands, lost media, and archaic knick-knacks dominated the space. Recently, QE transferred ownership to a new generation. The cobwebs and dust bunnies remain, but now with a focus on retaining the brick-and-mortar model while introducing in-person events and interactions to build a more expansive relationship within the underground community, linking the east and west of all generations of artists, audiophiles, kooks, musicians, dorks, and faces alike.
