The Honey Pot aims to remind you of songs you forgot you loved, or better yet, never knew you did. Expect to hear a heavy dose of boogie, house, modern soul, & RnB, brought to you by Sweaterfunk veteran Mamabear.
This episode of The Honey Pot is inspired by Baia Degli Angeli, one of Europe’s most iconic nightclubs of the mid-70s.
Perched above the Adriatic coast in Gabicce Mare, Italy, it was one of the first clubs to center the DJ as the main attraction, with marathon sets that blurred genres and shaped the night. This is what I imagine it would sound like if it still existed today. Italo, disco, and a little modern funk.
