SSS is a monthly psychedelic tone poem. It’s equal parts structure and improvisation, meditation and provocation, sacred and profane. It’s made up mostly (though not exclusively) of short compositions or excerpts of compositions. Host Mark Maxwell has been involved in L.A. jazz for approximately three decades. His DJ adventures began in Venice, CA about 25 years ago playing afro-beat, bossa nova, classic hip-hop, disco, funk, jazz, rare groove, rhythm & blues, reggae, salsa, samba, soul (and much more!).
