Oliver Wang is a professor of sociology at CSU-Long Beach. He’s been both a DJ and cultural writer since the mid-90s, having contributed to outlets such as NPR’s All Things Considered, the Los Angeles Review of Books, Los Angeles Times, and KCET’s Artbound. In the mid-2000s, he created the audioblog, Soul-Sides.com and since 2017, he has been the co-host of the weekly music/interview podcast, Heat Rocks.
