Here’s a selection of tunes we brought back from Japan after our much too brief Asia tour last July. We each made an hour-long mix and stitched them both together for a 2-hour deep dive into our favorite Japanese music. Enjoy a journey through shibuya-kei, city pop (+ proto-city pop and neo-city pop), 70/80s fusion, novelty electronic records, ymo-verse, the occasional Japan-exclusive release from international artists, as well as other eclectic pop stuff gleaned across many record stores, book-offs, and flea markets in Tokyo and Osaka!
