For this month’s episode of Special Delivery, R.E.A shares a mix of all Korean music from the late 70s and early to late 80s. This has been a collaborative effort with her mom (이경임) who she has been sharing music together with over the past month to create this mix. You can expect to hear lots of disco, synth pop, love ballads and even a voice recording of her mom singing a snippet of a song she remembers from back in her day… ♡

Special Delivery unpacks a thoughtfully curated selection of sounds that bring together the fluid melodies of the world around us. R.E.A explores all kinds of music from boogie and house, post-punk to ambient and everything in between. You’ll also find bits of field recordings from various landscapes to remind you of the rhythm of nature throughout your listening experience. She believes that sound can heal and soothe, especially those from nature.

Living in a fast paced, post-industrial landscape that’s constantly buzzing with noises makes it harder for us to experience the grounding sounds of our earthly sphere. By blending these two components together, R.E.A shares a dreamy mix reminiscent of a warm Saturday afternoon that leads you back to the sounds we know.
